Meet Karen
Karen Velardo relocated from Long Island to Martin County in 2015 to be closer to family and enjoy the beautiful weather that the Treasure Coast has to offer. Recently, Karen decided to make a career change and take on the real estate industry.
She is an entrepreneur. From working in sales at CBS to serving corporate clients at ADP and Broadridge Financial Solutions to owning her own business, DomTy Promotions, Karen has mastered the delivery of outstanding service to her clients.
Karen is the youngest of ten children and has had many role models throughout her youth. Those individuals instilled in her a desire for a well-grounded family life. Throughout high school, Karen was admired for her leadership, dedication and discipline with her academics and athletics. An All-American in softball, she earned a full athletic scholarship to Seton Hall University. She completed her college career at Molloy College earning a BA in English with a minor in communications and a teaching certification.
Not long ago, Karen experienced the relocation process first-hand. She understands the life changes that come with such a move and the demands placed on a young family. In addition, she was instrumental in helping her parents downsize when they relocated to the area. She understands all lifestyles are different with budget constraints, school zone requests, specific community offerings and the necessity to adapt to a new community.
