Water Pointe’s story begins during the summer of 2002.
The owners of two real estate firms had very similar goals and philosophies. They talked about the dreams they had for their respective companies, and in many ways, their dreams mirrored those of each other. They both wanted a real estate firm that would provide for a future allowing them to hire and retain the best associates available, to work as a team with other service providers, and to offer the outstanding service that their clientele desired.
Frustrated by a lack of professionalism within the industry, the two owners ultimately decided to team up, creating a new boutique real estate firm. This firm would focus on the waterfront and country club communities that are so prevalent in our area. The ownership would be proud of this new firm; the associates would be proud to be affiliated with it. This firm would be envied and looked up to within the community as well as the industry; it would lead in an, oftentimes, leaderless profession.
A few short months later, the i’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed; the paperwork was completed and the award-winning logo was created. Water Pointe Realty Group was formed, and the signs on the doors were officially changed on January 1, 2003, combining the history of the two prior firms.
Through the years, the company has grown to approximately 75 full-time, professional associates. The company takes pride in its ability to offer outstanding service, not only to its customers, but also to its sales staff. Water Pointe offers one of the highest staff-to-associate ratios in the industry, allowing the company to provide outstanding support to its associates. In addition, Water Pointe has surrounded itself with unparalleled service providers in the business, from real estate attorneys to home inspectors, along with every other facet of a real estate transaction. This attention to detail is what makes Water Pointe the most prepared firm to guide its clients through a successful transaction.

Our leadership team is closing in on a combined 200 years of experience in direct real estate management and real estate investment. Water Pointe’s leadership boasts many award recipients, including nine winners of the coveted “Realtor of the Year” honor.
As a company, we are very active in the local and state Realtor® associations. Our firm includes ten past presidents of the local Realtor® associations and many more current and former board members.
We believe strongly in giving back and we offer a community focus that cannot be replicated by national or regional firms. Water Pointe leads by example and we encourage our associates to give with their time as well as their dollars. Water Pointe’s associates are very active in the community and involved in many philanthropic endeavors. We are able to offer a local perspective of our area and marketplace as well as historical knowledge which sets us apart from other firms.
Water Pointe doesn’t have the biggest firm, but it does have the finest associates and staff. The company provides its associates with outstanding tools and first-class support so that, in turn, they can provide unrivaled service to their customers. As a result, Water Pointe’s associates consistently rank as having one of the highest per agent annual sales volumes in the area.
In 2017, Water Pointe Realty Group decided to make a big jump in the Martin County market. In early 2018, IRP Realty and Willoughby Realty united under the Water Pointe umbrella, increasing our service reach and our leadership team. The firm has expertly positioned itself to take full advantage of the current growth phase in real estate. The owners are always striving to be ahead of the curve, and their guiding principle of “people before profit” allows them to make the best decisions for their associates and clients.
Going forward, Water Pointe has carved out a niche as a premier luxury home seller in the area. The firm is consistently ranked as one of the top sellers of million dollar homes and enjoys being known as the waterfront and luxury home expert.
However, in addition to the high-end market, the company realizes that there is a void in the industry when it comes to providing sound investment advice. REOs, bank-owned properties, and short sales are often handled in bulk with little attention paid to detail. Water Pointe is very fortunate to have trained some of their most experienced agents to help guide customers toward good, financially solid, real estate investment decisions. Many of Water Pointe’s associates are highly skilled in the representation and sale of bank-owned properties as well as the negotiation that takes place during a short sale. They work with the best of the best, and have contacts within the industry to help achieve the results their customers expect
From inlet to inlet, Water Pointe’s offices are strategically located. From the Palm Beach and Jupiter inlets in northern Palm Beach County, to the St. Lucie Inlet in Martin County and the Fort Pierce Inlet in St. Lucie County, the firm’s associates cover the water. Through the years, “Representing the finest properties, from inlet to inlet” quickly became one of the firm’s favorite tag lines.
The company’s territory lies approximately 80 nautical miles from the West End of the Bahama Islands and is blessed with an average daily temperature of 78 degrees. The area provides world-class recreation, both on and off the water. The proximity to the Atlantic Gulfstream allows for incredible fishing experiences. Both onshore and offshore, the access and availability to the water is incomparable and the choices are bountiful. Whether going for a world record billfish or a little snook fishing in the river, you won’t be disappointed.
For those who want to tee it up on land, a championship golf course is usually just a good 3-wood away. From the weekend duffer at the county municipal, to the PGA pro at one of the many outstanding country clubs, the Treasure Coast has many options to pick from. At the north end of our territory in St. Lucie West, we have the PGA Golf Club, home to the Center for Golf and Learning Performance. At the south end of our territory is the PGA National Golf Club which hosts the Honda Classic every February, a favorite early-season stop for many of the world’s best golfers
An additional popular attraction to our area is the many Major League Baseball teams that conduct their spring training camps here. The New York Mets train in St. Lucie County, while the St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins, Washington Nationals and Houston Astros train in northern Palm Beach County.
